From St. Peter's Basilica, head towards the main entrance and exit the basilica. Once outside, turn left and walk along Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing the bridge, turn right onto Lungotevere Castello and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto Via di San Gregorio. Follow this street until you reach the entrance of the Roman Forum. The Basilica Julia is located within the Forum.

From St. Peter's Basilica, exit the basilica and walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via della Conciliazione. Take bus number 40 towards Terminal Gianicolo and ride for 5 stops. Get off at 'Piazza Venezia'. From there, you can walk to the Roman Forum. Head down Via del Corso, then turn right onto Via di San Gregorio. Continue straight to reach the entrance of the Roman Forum where Basilica Julia is located.
