Walking
From the Vatican Museums, exit through the main entrance. Turn right and walk down Viale Vaticano until you reach the intersection with Via Leone IV. Turn left onto Via Leone IV and continue walking until you reach Piazza San Pietro. Once you arrive at Piazza San Pietro, head towards the left side of the square, taking Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. From there, take the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge across the river, which will lead you to the other side. After crossing the bridge, walk straight onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue walking until you reach Piazza Navona. From Piazza Navona, head towards Via del Teatro di Marcello and then turn left onto Via del Foro Romano, where you will find Basilica Julia.
Public Transport
From the Vatican Museums, walk to the nearest bus stop located at Via di Porta Angelica. Take bus number 40, which travels towards Termini. Get off at the stop called 'Piazza Venezia'. From there, walk towards Via del Foro Romano. You will see the entrance to the Basilica Julia as you approach. This route gives you a quick and efficient way to reach your destination using public transport.
