Getting There

Walking
From the Vatican Museums, exit onto Viale Vaticano and turn left. Walk straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). In the square, locate Via della Conciliazione and walk towards the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo. Once on the other side, continue straight and follow the signs to the Colosseum. You will pass through Via di San Gregorio. Keep walking until you reach the entrance to the Palatine Hill, located at Via Sacra.

Public Transport
From the Vatican Museums, walk to the nearest bus stop at Piazzale degli Eroi. Take bus number 81 towards 'Stazione Termini' and get off at the 'Colosseo' stop. From there, walk towards the Colosseum and follow the signs to Palatine Hill along Via Sacra. The entrance will be on your left.
