    From the Vatican Necropolis, exit the site and proceed towards St. Peter's Basilica. As you walk, follow the signs for the Basilica. Once you reach the front of St. Peter's Basilica, turn left onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the bridge (Ponte Sant'Angelo) that connects the Vatican to the other side of the river. After crossing, you will see Castel Sant'Angelo directly ahead. The entrance is located at Lungotevere Castello, 50.

    If you are near the Vatican Museums, exit the museums and head towards Viale Vaticano. Walk straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). From there, follow Via della Conciliazione, which will lead you to the Tiber River. Cross Ponte Sant'Angelo, and you will find Castel Sant'Angelo directly in front of you at Lungotevere Castello, 50.

    If you're at a further distance, you can take a bus to get closer. From the Vatican area, board bus number 64 or 40 at the nearest bus stop. Ride until you get off at the stop named 'Piazza Venezia.' From there, walk towards Via del Corso and follow the signs for the Tiber River. Walk along the riverbank until you reach Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge, and Castel Sant'Angelo will be right ahead at Lungotevere Castello, 50.
