    Assuming you are already in the Vatican Grottoes, head towards the main exit of the Grottoes, which will lead you back to Saint Peter's Basilica. Once you exit, you will be in the vicinity of Saint Peter's Square. Walk straight towards the large plaza, where you will see the impressive façade of the Basilica. Upon reaching the square, enter the Basilica through the main entrance. The Tomb of Saint Peter is located beneath the Basilica, so take the stairs down to the Grottoes area where the tomb is situated.

    If you are coming from outside Vatican City, take the metro Line A (the red line) to the 'Ottaviano - San Pietro' station. After exiting the station, follow the signs for 'San Pietro' and walk for about 10 minutes to reach the entrance of Saint Peter's Square.
