Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are currently at the Vatican Pinacoteca, exit the building and head towards the entrance of the Vatican Museums. Once outside, walk towards Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight until you reach the Ottaviano metro station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the Vatican. Once at Ottaviano station, take the Metro Line A towards Anagnina and travel for 5 stops until you reach the Termini station. At Termini, transfer to Metro Line B towards Rebibbia and travel for 3 stops until you reach the Ponte Mammolo station. After exiting the metro, look for signs to the bus station just outside the metro station. Take bus number 335 towards Tivoli, and stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Largo Marguerite Yourcenar' and you will find Hadrian's Villa just a short walk from the bus stop.

    From the Vatican Pinacoteca, head outside and walk to the nearest bus stop. You can take bus number 81 towards Tiburtina and travel for about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Tiburtina' bus stop and transfer to bus number 335, which takes you directly to 'Largo Marguerite Yourcenar'. This journey will take approximately an additional 30 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Largo Marguerite Yourcenar', Hadrian's Villa will be within walking distance.
