Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Bennington, head north on VT-7A N. Continue on this road for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with West Rd. Turn left onto West Rd. Continue on West Rd for approximately 1.5 miles, and you will find 1768 Hubbell Homestead at Colgate Park on your right at 1357 West Rd, Bennington, VT 05201. There is ample parking available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Green Mountain Express bus service (Route 1) from the Bennington Bus Station. This bus runs several times a day, check the schedule for the most current times. You will need to get off at the stop nearest to West Rd. After disembarking, it will be about a 30-minute walk to 1768 Hubbell Homestead at Colgate Park. From the bus stop, head west on North St, turn left onto West Rd, and follow it until you reach the homestead.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and wish to bike, you can ride from downtown Bennington. Start on Main St and then take a right onto North St. Continue straight for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with West Rd. Keep in mind that some parts of the road may have minimal bike lanes, so exercise caution. Once on West Rd, you will find the homestead 1.5 miles down the road on your right.

• Walking

  If you're nearby and prefer to walk, ensure you have a good set of walking shoes. Starting from downtown Bennington, you can make your way to the intersection of Main St and North St, then head north on North St until you reach West Rd. Turn left onto West Rd, and the homestead will be about 1.5 miles down on your right. This route is approximately 3 miles long, so plan for about an hour of walking.
