Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head to North Bennington. From downtown Bennington, take VT-67 E (Main St) for about 5 miles. Then, turn left onto Murphy Rd. Continue driving for approximately 1 mile, and you will see the Birthplace of Vermont at 993 Murphy Rd on your left. There is parking available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, check if the Green Mountain Express has a route that services North Bennington. You may need to board the bus at the Bennington Train Station or a local bus stop in Bennington. Once you arrive at the North Bennington stop, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Birthplace of Vermont. Walk north on Main St (VT-67) until you reach Murphy Rd, then turn left and walk until you see the landmark at 993 Murphy Rd.
