Car
From the center of Montpelier, VT, take US-2 East and continue for approximately 12 miles. Turn right onto VT-12 South and proceed for about 4 miles. Then, turn left onto Worcester Road (VT-12) and follow the signs to CC Putnam State Forest, which is located on your left at approximately 2 miles. The address is Worcester, VT 05682.
Public Transportation
Take the Vermont Translines bus from Burlington or Montpelier to the nearest stop in Worcester. Once you arrive in Worcester, you will need to either walk or arrange for a local taxi service to take you to CC Putnam State Forest, which is approximately 2 miles from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may be limited.
Bicycle
For those who prefer biking, from Montpelier, take the Montpelier Bike Path until you reach US-2. Follow US-2 East for approximately 12 miles, then turn onto VT-12 South. Continue on VT-12 South for about 4 miles and then left onto Worcester Road (VT-12). CC Putnam State Forest will be approximately 2 miles down the road on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling laws.
Walking
If you are already in Worcester, you can reach CC Putnam State Forest by walking. Start from the town center and proceed south on Worcester Road (VT-12). The forest is roughly a 2-mile walk, and you should see signage guiding you along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
