Car
If you are traveling by car and are already in the Green Mountains, head toward Elmore State Park located at 856 VT-12, Elmore, VT 05661. From Stowe, take VT-108 S and then merge onto VT-15 W. Continue on VT-15 W until you reach the junction with VT-12 S. Follow VT-12 S for about 12 miles until you see the park entrance on your right. Parking is available at the park, but be aware that there is a day-use fee of $4 per vehicle.
Public Transportation
To reach Elmore State Park using public transportation, take a bus from nearby towns to Morrisville, which is served by Green Mountain Transit. From Morrisville, you can catch a local taxi service to reach Elmore State Park, as there may not be direct public transport to the park itself. It’s advisable to book a taxi in advance. The taxi fare can vary, so be prepared for a cost of approximately $25-$35 for the trip.
