If you're traveling by car, head towards Underhill, VT. From the center of Underhill, take VT-15 W. Continue on VT-15 W for approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction with VT-108 N. Turn right onto VT-108 N and follow it for about 9 miles. Look for the signs for Smugglers' Notch Resort, as this road leads you towards Mount Mansfield. You will eventually arrive at the parking area for the Mount Mansfield State Forest, where you can park your car. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around $5.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, the Green Mountain Transit operates a bus service that connects to Stowe, which is the nearest town to Mount Mansfield. You can catch a bus from Burlington or Montpelier to Stowe. Once in Stowe, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the parking area for Mount Mansfield. Be aware that taxi fares can vary, but expect to pay around $20-$30 for the trip from Stowe to the trailhead at Mount Mansfield.
