From the main entrance of Molly Stark State Park, head south on Route 9. Continue for about 6.5 miles until you reach Reservoir Lane. Turn right onto Reservoir Lane, and after about 0.5 miles, you will find the Deerfield Ridge Trail entrance on your left. There is no parking fee for accessing the trail.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Wilmington to a stop near the intersection of Route 9 and Reservoir Lane. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles down Reservoir Lane to reach the Deerfield Ridge Trail entrance. If you are already within Molly Stark State Park and wish to walk to Deerfield Ridge Trail, exit the park heading towards Route 9. Once you reach Route 9, turn left and walk for approximately 6.5 miles to the intersection with Reservoir Lane. Then, turn right onto Reservoir Lane, and the Deerfield Ridge Trail entrance will be on your left after about 0.5 miles. This option is ideal for those who enjoy a longer scenic walk.
