Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Burlington on VT-2 W. From Orange County, you can take I-89 N. Merge onto I-89 N and continue for about 30 miles. Take exit 14W for US-2 W toward Winooski. Continue on US-2 W, which will merge into Main St. Continue straight until you reach S Prospect St. Turn right onto S Prospect St, and the Wheeler House will be on your left at 133 S Prospect St, Burlington, VT 05405. Parking may be available along the street, but check local regulations to avoid fines.

For those using public transportation, you can take the Green Mountain Transit (GMT) bus from various locations in Orange County to Burlington. Check the GMT website for the most current schedules. Once you arrive at the Burlington bus station, you can either walk or use local taxi services to reach the Historic Preservation Program. The Wheeler House is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. Head south on S Winooski Ave towards Main St, then turn left onto Main St. Continue on Main St until you reach S Prospect St, and turn right – the Wheeler House will be on your left.
