From the center of Woodstock, head southeast on Elm Street towards the Ottauquechee River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 4. Cross over Route 4, and you will see the entrance to the scenic walking path along the river. Follow this path, which runs parallel to the river, for about half a mile.
