Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you're traveling by car, start from any major city in Northeast Vietnam, such as Hanoi or Hai Phong. Head south on National Route 1A. After approximately 100 km, take the exit toward National Route 20 toward Da Lat. Continue on National Route 20 for about 50 km, and then follow the signs to Cat Tien National Park. The entrance to Cat Tien Garden is just off the main road. Be prepared for a small entrance fee, which is approximately 40,000 VND per person.
Bus
For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from your current location in Northeast Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City. From the bus station in Ho Chi Minh City, find a bus that travels to Da Lat or Tân Phú. Buses to Tân Phú are frequent and the ticket price is around 100,000 VND. Once you arrive in Tân Phú, you can take a local taxi or motorbike taxi to reach Cat Tien National Park, which is about 30 km away from the town center. Expect to pay around 150,000 - 200,000 VND for the taxi ride.
Motorbike
For an adventurous option, rent a motorbike in Tân Phú after arriving via bus. Follow the route from Tân Phú to Cat Tien National Park. The journey is approximately 30 km, and the road is scenic but be cautious of traffic and road conditions. Ensure you have a valid motorcycle license and wear a helmet. Renting a motorbike typically costs around 150,000 VND per day.
