Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the city of Cao Bang, take National Route 3 towards the north. After approximately 70 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Trung Khanh. Take a left turn onto Provincial Road 206 and continue for about 20 kilometers. Keep following the signs to Ban Gioc Waterfalls. The road is well-paved and offers scenic views. Expect to pay a toll fee at a few checkpoints along the route, approximately 50,000 VND.

• Bus

  From Cao Bang city center, head to the main bus station. Look for buses heading to Trung Khanh. The bus ride takes about 2 hours and costs around 50,000 VND. Once in Trung Khanh, you can hire a local taxi or motorbike taxi to reach Ban Gioc Waterfalls, which is about 20 kilometers away. The taxi fare should be around 100,000 VND.

• Motorbike

  Rent a motorbike in Cao Bang city and head towards National Route 3. Follow the same directions as for driving. This option gives you more flexibility to stop and enjoy the scenery along the way. Expect to pay around 150,000 VND for a full day rental. Be sure to wear a helmet and drive safely.

• Tour Operator

  Many local tour operators in Cao Bang offer day trips to Ban Gioc Waterfalls. This option typically includes transportation, a guide, and sometimes meals.
