Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Da Nang or Hoi An. Drive south on National Route 1A (QL1A) towards Quảng Nam Province. The journey is approximately 30-45 minutes from Hoi An and 1-1.5 hours from Da Nang, depending on traffic. Once you reach Quảng Nam, follow the signs for the Thu Bồn River area, which are well-marked. You can park at designated areas near the river.

• Bus

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Da Nang or Hoi An to Quảng Nam. Buses run frequently and tickets usually cost between 30,000 to 60,000 VND (approximately $1.30 to $2.60). Once you arrive at the Quảng Nam bus station, you can either take a taxi or a local motorbike taxi to the Thu Bồn River. The distance from the bus station to the river is about 10-15 minutes by motorbike.

• Motorbike

  If you're feeling adventurous, renting a motorbike is a great way to explore the area. You can rent a motorbike in either Da Nang or Hoi An for around 100,000 to 150,000 VND per day (approximately $4.30 to $6.50). Head south on QL1A, then follow local signs to the Thu Bồn River. The scenic route allows you to enjoy the beautiful countryside along the way.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Da Nang or Hoi An to take you straight to the Thu Bồn River. The taxi fare will vary, but expect to pay around 300,000 to 500,000 VND (approximately $13 to $22). Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand or ask the driver to use the meter for the best rate.
