If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Huế city. Head southwest on Lê Lợi Street, continuing straight until you reach the intersection with Trần Hưng Đạo Street. Turn right onto Trần Hưng Đạo Street and follow it until you see the signs for Thien Mu Pagoda. The pagoda is located approximately 5 kilometers from the city center. There is parking available near the entrance.
Public Bus
To reach Thien Mu Pagoda via public transportation, take bus number 2 from the Huế bus station. The bus will take you directly to the pagoda. Be sure to check the bus schedule, as services may vary. The fare is around 10,000 VND (approximately $0.43 USD). Once you arrive at the pagoda stop, you will need to walk a short distance to the entrance.
Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service
For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-hailing service like Grab. Simply input 'Thien Mu Pagoda' as your destination and the driver will take you there. The fare from the city center to the pagoda typically ranges from 80,000 to 120,000 VND (approximately $3.50 to $5.30 USD) depending on traffic.
Bicycle Rental
For a more eco-friendly and enjoyable journey, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Huế. Cycling to Thien Mu Pagoda is a popular option, as it allows you to enjoy the scenic views along the Perfume River. The distance is about 5 kilometers, and it should take around 20-30 minutes to reach the pagoda. Rental costs vary, but expect to pay around 30,000 to 50,000 VND (approximately $1.30 to $2.20 USD) per day.
