Getting There

Public Bus
From the center of Blacksburg, head to the nearest bus stop for the Roanoke Regional Transit. Take the Route 1 bus towards Roanoke. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Mill Mountain Park stop, which is close to the entrance of the park. From there, follow the signs to the Mill Mountain Star, which is a short hike up the trail.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Blacksburg. Head towards the Huckleberry Trail, which will take you towards the outskirts of town. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Route 460. Continue on Route 460 for about 2 miles until you reach the entrance to Mill Mountain Park. From the entrance, it's a short ride up the road to the Mill Mountain Star.

If you prefer walking, start at the Virginia Tech campus. Head south on Prices Fork Road until you reach the intersection with Route 460. Cross over and follow the sidewalks along Route 460 for about 2 miles. Once you see the signs for Mill Mountain Park, follow them into the park. It's a moderate hike up to the Mill Mountain Star, but the views are worth it!
