From any location in Blue Ridge Highlands, head towards Roanoke, Virginia. Use Route 220 or I-81 South to reach Roanoke. Once in Roanoke, follow the signs for Mill Mountain Park. Take Exit 143 from I-581 and merge onto Walnut Ave SE. Continue straight and turn right onto Mill Mountain Spur. Follow the road until you reach the park entrance at 2198 Mill Mountain Spur. There is no entrance fee for Mill Mountain Park.

If you prefer to use public transportation, check the local bus services in Roanoke. The Roanoke Valley Transit (RVT) provides bus services to various parts of the city. You can take a bus that stops near the Mill Mountain Park area. The closest bus stop is at the bottom of Mill Mountain.
