Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, make your way to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Humpback Rocks Visitor Center is located at Milepost 5.8 on the Parkway, specifically in Lyndhurst, VA. From the north, take I-81 South to Exit 220 for US-250 East. Follow US-250 East until you reach the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once on the Parkway, drive south for approximately 5.8 miles. The Visitor Center will be on your right, and there is a parking area available.

  • Public Transportation and Car

    For those using public transportation, first, take Amtrak or a Greyhound bus to Waynesboro, VA. From Waynesboro, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Blue Ridge Parkway. The distance from Waynesboro to Humpback Rocks Visitor Center is about 12 miles. Once you reach the Parkway entrance, follow the same directions as above. This option may incur additional costs for the taxi or rideshare service, typically ranging from $20 to $40.
