Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are in downtown Chesapeake or near any public transit stops, take the bus route that heads towards the Great Bridge area. Look for the bus stop closest to you and check the local transit schedule. You may need to transfer buses depending on your starting location. Ensure your route includes a stop at the Great Bridge area. Once you arrive at the Great Bridge area, disembark from the bus and head northeast on S Battlefield Blvd. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Shea Dr. Turn right onto Shea Dr, and the Chesapeake Planetarium will be located on the left at 310 Shea Dr.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental service or bike-sharing program. Start by heading towards the Great Bridge area. From downtown Chesapeake, follow the bike paths along S Battlefield Blvd. Once you reach Shea Dr, turn left and bike a short distance until you reach the Chesapeake Planetarium at 310 Shea Dr. Make sure to follow all traffic rules and use designated bike lanes where available.

  To reach Chesapeake Planetarium on foot, find your way to the nearest bus stop that services the Great Bridge area. Once you arrive at the Great Bridge area bus stop, start walking northeast on S Battlefield Blvd. Continue walking for approximately 10-15 minutes until you reach Shea Dr. Turn right onto Shea Dr, and you will find the Chesapeake Planetarium on your left at 310 Shea Dr.
