Public Transit
If you are in downtown Chesapeake, begin your journey by walking to the nearest bus stop for the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus. You can take the Route 1 bus towards Norfolk. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Greenbrier Mall stop. From there, transfer to Route 20, which will take you directly towards City Park Drive. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes, and then disembark at the City Park Drive stop. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes down City Park Drive, and you will arrive at Chesapeake City Park, located at 900 City Park Dr, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, start from any central location in Chesapeake. Head towards the Greenbrier area, aiming for the intersection of Greenbrier Parkway and City Park Drive. Once you reach Greenbrier Parkway, follow it until you see the signs for Chesapeake City Park. The park is about a 15-20 minute bike ride from the Greenbrier area. Make sure to use bike lanes where available and obey all traffic rules.
Walking
If you're within walking distance, simply head towards City Park Drive. If you're near Greenbrier Mall, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk. Walk along Greenbrier Parkway until you reach City Park Drive, then turn left and continue straight until you see Chesapeake City Park on your right. The park is a lovely walking destination with well-marked paths.
