Getting There

  • Bus

    If you are in downtown Chesapeake, head to the nearest bus stop and take the HRT Route 1 bus towards Greenbrier Mall. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Greenbrier Pkwy and Oak Grove Rd. From there, walk west on Oak Grove Rd for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the Chesapeake Arboretum at 624 Oak Grove Rd.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Chesapeake City Park located at 900 City Park Dr. Head south on City Park Dr, then turn left onto Greenbrier Pkwy. Continue onto Oak Grove Rd, and after about 2 miles, you will see the Chesapeake Arboretum on your right at 624 Oak Grove Rd. This bike ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

    If you are close to the Greenbrier area, begin your walk at the Greenbrier Mall. Exit the mall and head south on Greenbrier Pkwy. After about a mile, take a left onto Oak Grove Rd. Continue walking for another half mile, and you will see the Chesapeake Arboretum on your left at 624 Oak Grove Rd. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30-40 minutes.
