From downtown Harrisonburg, head to the nearest bus stop for the Harrisonburg Public Transportation. Take the 'Grottoes' route, ensuring you check the bus schedule for the correct times. Stay on the bus until you reach the Grottoes stop. Once you disembark, walk approximately 0.5 miles to the entrance of Grand Caverns. Follow the signs towards Grand Cavern Rd, and you will arrive at the caverns.

Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Harrisonburg. Start at the intersection of South Main St and East Water St, heading southeast on South Main St. Continue straight until you reach Grottoes, which is about a 7-mile ride. As you approach Grottoes, turn right onto Grand Cavern Rd, and the entrance to Grand Caverns will be on your left.

If you're feeling adventurous and up for a longer walk, start from downtown Harrisonburg. Head east on East Market St. Continue walking for about 5 miles until you reach Grottoes.
