If you're traveling by car from the Middle Peninsula, start by getting on VA-33 E from your location. Continue on VA-33 E until you reach the intersection with US-17 S. Take the exit toward US-17 S and merge onto US-17 S. Follow US-17 S until you reach the intersection with I-64 E. Merge onto I-64 E and continue for about 20 miles. Take exit 268A for US-60 E toward Hampton. Continue on US-60 E and follow signs for Fort Monroe. After approximately 10 miles, you will see signs for Fort Monroe National Monument. Follow the signs to the visitor parking area.
