Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from downtown Newport News, head east on 25th Street towards Washington Avenue. Continue straight for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with 35th Street. Turn left onto 35th Street and proceed until you reach the end of the street. At the end of 35th Street, you will see Huntington Park straight ahead. The park is located along the waterfront, and you can enter through the main entrance.

  • Public Transit

    From the Newport News Transit Center, take Bus Route 12 towards the Riverwalk. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of 35th Street and Huntington Avenue. From there, walk east on 35th Street for about 5 minutes until you arrive at Huntington Park. The entrance to the park will be on your left.

  • Biking

    If you are renting a bike, start from the Newport News Park. Head southeast on the main path towards 25th Street. Turn left onto 25th Street and follow it as it curves into 35th Street. Continue straight until you reach the park entrance. The park has bike racks available for you to lock your bike safely.
