    From downtown Roanoke, head to the nearest bus stop served by the Roanoke Valley Transit (RVT). You can catch the Route 3 bus towards 'Cave Spring'. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes and get off at the stop near the intersection of Route 220 and Blue Ridge Parkway. Once you disembark, walk northeast on Route 220 for about 0.5 miles, then turn left onto Blue Ridge Parkway. You will see the entrance to the Parkway shortly after.

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Roanoke. Start your journey by heading east on Campbell Avenue toward 11th St. Continue on 11th St. which will lead you to Route 220. Follow Route 220 northbound for about 3 miles until you reach the entrance to Blue Ridge Parkway. The ride is scenic, but be cautious of traffic.

    For those who enjoy walking, you can start at the Roanoke City Market. From there, walk east down Campbell Avenue until you reach 11th Street. This is a longer trek (approximately 1 hour) but offers a chance to explore more of Roanoke.
