    To reach Elkwallow Wayside from any point in Skyline Drive, first ensure you are on Skyline Drive, which is the main road running through Shenandoah National Park. If you're coming from the northern entrance at Front Royal, continue south on Skyline Drive until you reach Milepost 18. If you're coming from the southern entrance at Rockfish Gap, head north until you reach the same milepost. Elkwallow Wayside is located at Milepost 24.5, so keep an eye out for the sign. The Wayside is a rest stop where you can enjoy some food and refreshments.

    Public transportation options are limited in Shenandoah National Park, and there are no direct bus services to Elkwallow Wayside.
