Car
If you're driving along Skyline Drive, navigate to mile marker 43. Spitler Knoll Overlook is located at this marker. The overlook offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and is easily accessible. As you approach mile marker 43, look for the pull-off area on the right side of the road. There is no entry fee specifically for the overlook, but you will need to pay the Skyline Drive entrance fee if you have not already done so.
Public Transportation
While public transportation options are limited directly within Shenandoah National Park, you can take a bus to nearby towns such as Front Royal or Luray. From there, you will need to rent a car or arrange for a taxi service to reach Skyline Drive. Once you are on Skyline Drive, follow the same directions as if you were driving, heading towards mile marker 43 to reach Spitler Knoll Overlook.
