If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Elkton, VA. Head southwest on W Spotswood Ave toward N Eastside Hwy/US-340 S. After about 0.5 miles, merge onto US-340 S. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the entrance of Shenandoah National Park. Pay the entrance fee, which is currently $30 per vehicle and valid for 7 days. Once inside the park, follow Skyline Drive for about 10 miles. The Point Overlook will be on your right, marked with a scenic overlook sign.

For those using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound or Megabus to Harrisonburg, VA. From Harrisonburg, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach the entrance of Shenandoah National Park, which is approximately 25 miles away. Once at the park entrance, you will need to pay the $30 entrance fee per vehicle. After entering the park, follow Skyline Drive for roughly 10 miles until you reach The Point Overlook on your right.

For the adventurous, biking to The Point Overlook is an option. From Elkton, cycle southwest on W Spotswood Ave, then merge onto US-340 S.
