Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Staunton Public Library located at 1 N. Lewis St, head south on Lewis Street for about two blocks until you reach the intersection with East Johnson Street. Turn right onto East Johnson Street and walk for one block until you reach South New Street. Turn left onto South New Street and walk for about three blocks. You will find the Downtown Staunton Visitor Center located at 35 S New St suite a on your right.

• Walking

  From the historic Stonewall Jackson Hotel at 24 S Market St, exit the hotel and head south on South Market Street for two blocks. At the intersection with East Frederick Street, turn left and walk one block until you reach South New Street. Turn right onto South New Street, and the Downtown Staunton Visitor Center will be located at 35 S New St suite a, just ahead on your left.

• Walking

  If you are at the Gypsy Hill Park, start by walking northwest along the park's path towards the intersection with Churchville Ave. Cross Churchville Ave and continue walking straight onto North Augusta Street. Walk for approximately half a mile until you reach East Johnson Street. Turn left onto East Johnson Street and then turn right onto South New Street. The Downtown Staunton Visitor Center will be at 35 S New St suite a on your right.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you're near the Staunton City Hall, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 116 W Beverley St. Take the Augusta County Transit bus route that heads towards the Staunton City Center. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of South New Street and East Johnson Street. From there, walk south along South New Street for one block.
