To reach First Landing Cross from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, start at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Catch the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus route #20 (Blue Line) heading towards the Virginia Beach Town Center. You will need to ride the bus for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the stop at New Guinea Road. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles east along New Guinea Road. The First Landing Cross will be located on your left, in the Fort Story area.

If you prefer cycling, start at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Head north on the boardwalk until you reach 36th Street. Turn left onto 36th Street and then right onto Pacific Avenue. Continue until you reach the intersection with 1st Street. Turn left onto 1st Street and follow it until you reach New Guinea Road. Turn right onto New Guinea Road and cycle approximately 1.5 miles. First Landing Cross will be on your right, located within Fort Story.
