Getting There

• Car

  From Seattle, take I-5 North and merge onto US-2 East toward Monroe. Continue on US-2 for approximately 40 miles. At the town of Stevens Pass, take the exit onto WA-204 East. Follow WA-204 until it intersects with WA-92 in Lake Stevens. Turn left onto WA-92 and continue for about 15 miles until you reach Granite Falls. Once in Granite Falls, follow signs for the Big Four Ice Caves, which is located approximately 17 miles up the Mountain Loop Highway. The parking area is located at the end of the road, and there is a small fee for parking, typically around $5.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Big Four Ice Caves via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Seattle to Everett using Community Transit or Sound Transit. From Everett, transfer to a bus heading towards Granite Falls (check local schedules as bus routes may vary). Once you arrive in Granite Falls, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the remaining distance to the Big Four Ice Caves trailhead, which is about 17 miles away. • Hiking

  Once you arrive at the Big Four Ice Caves parking area, prepare for a short hike. The Big Four Ice Caves trail is about 1.5 miles long and is relatively easy to moderate in difficulty. The trail leads you through beautiful forest scenery to the stunning ice caves, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the glaciers.
