Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, take I-84 East from anywhere in the Columbia River Gorge. Continue on I-84 for approximately 30 miles until you reach Exit 64 for Hood River. After exiting, turn left onto OR-35 N and follow it until you reach the intersection with Portway Ave. Turn left onto Portway Ave, and after a short drive, you will see Hood River Waterfront Park on your right at 650 Portway Ave, Hood River, OR 97031. Parking is available near the park.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus service. Check the CAT schedule for routes that service Hood River. Once on the bus, ensure you get off at the stop nearest to the Hood River Waterfront Park. The closest stop is usually at Portway Ave. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the park, which is located at 650 Portway Ave, Hood River, OR 97031.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, there are dedicated bike paths along the Columbia River Gorge. You can start from any point along the scenic routes and follow the signs leading to Hood River. Once you arrive in Hood River, make your way to Portway Ave, where Hood River Waterfront Park is located. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all biking regulations for safety.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby or in downtown Hood River, you can walk to the park. From downtown, head toward the river and follow the waterfront trail. This scenic walk will lead you directly to Hood River Waterfront Park, located at 650 Portway Ave. The walk is approximately 1 mile and offers beautiful views of the Columbia River.
