If you're traveling by car, ensure you have a GPS or a map app ready. From any location in the Columbia River Gorge, make your way to US-30 E or I-84 E, depending on your starting point. If you are near Multnomah Falls, take I-84 E for about 30 miles. Exit at Hood River (Exit 64). After the exit, turn left onto OR-35 S. Continue on OR-35 S until you reach Hood River. Follow signs for downtown Hood River. Once in town, turn left onto 1st Street, and then right onto Railroad Street. The Mount Hood Railroad will be on your left at 110 Railroad Street, Hood River, OR 97031. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a fee depending on the area.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the Columbia Gorge Express, which operates between Portland and Hood River. Board the bus at any designated stop in the Columbia River Gorge area. The bus will take you directly to Hood River. Once you arrive at the Hood River Transit Center, it's a short walk to Mount Hood Railroad. Head south on 2nd Street, then turn left onto Railroad Street. The railroad station is located at 110 Railroad Street. Be sure to check the bus schedule beforehand as it may vary, and tickets will incur a cost, typically around $5 to $10 depending on your departure point.
