From Federal Way, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the Sound Transit bus route 586 towards Seattle. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Seattle Ferry Terminal. Once there, purchase a ticket for the Bainbridge Island ferry. The ferry ride takes about 35 minutes. After disembarking at Bainbridge Island, walk straight from the ferry terminal to Madison Ave N. Sakai Park will be on your left, just a short 10-minute walk.
Train + Bus
Start by walking to the Federal Way Transit Center and board the Sounder train towards Seattle. The train ride takes around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Seattle's King Street Station, exit the station and walk to the nearby Seattle Ferry Terminal. Purchase a ticket for the Bainbridge Island ferry. The ferry ride lasts about 35 minutes. After you arrive at Bainbridge Island, walk straight to Madison Ave N, and you will find Sakai Park on the left side, about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

If you're near downtown Federal Way, you can start by walking towards the Federal Way Transit Center. From there, take the bus to the Seattle Ferry Terminal. This option is mainly for those who prefer to explore the local area on foot before heading to Bainbridge Island.
