    From Federal Way Transit Center, board King County Metro bus route 586 towards Seattle. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the Mercer Island Park and Ride. Once you arrive at the Park and Ride, transfer to bus route 201 heading towards Mercer Island. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the '79th Ave SE & SE 28th St' stop. Walk southeast on 79th Ave SE for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Historic Military Site - Mercer Island Historical Society located at 7814 79th Ave SE.

    Start your journey at the Federal Way Community Center. Head northwest on S 312th St towards 1st Ave S. Continue straight onto the Interurban Trail, which will take you north towards Mercer Island. Follow the trail until you reach the I-90 Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the trail until you reach Mercer Island. Once on Mercer Island, follow the signs to 79th Ave SE. The Historic Military Site is located at 7814 79th Ave SE, which is about a mile away from the bridge.
