Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    Start at Kent Station. From Kent Station, board the Sound Transit Link Light Rail towards Seattle. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes until you reach the Westlake Station. Transfer to the Metro Bus Route 50 towards Alki Beach. After approximately 15 minutes, you will arrive at the Alki Beach stop. From there, follow the signs to the beach which is about a 5-minute walk.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops near the Kent Station. Head northwest on Smith Street towards 1st Avenue, then take a left onto 1st Avenue and continue to the Interurban Trail. Follow the Interurban Trail north until you reach the Seattle area. From there, navigate to Alki Beach via the West Seattle Bridge. The bike ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your speed.

  • Walking

    Walking from Kent to Alki Beach is quite a long trek and not recommended for most tourists, as it would take over 2 hours. However, if you are up for a challenge, start at Kent Station, head west on 1st Avenue towards the Interurban Trail, and follow the trail north towards Seattle.
