To reach Lake Union from Kent, start at the Kent Station. Take the Sound Transit Link Light Rail towards Northgate. Ride the train until you reach the University of Washington Station. From there, transfer to Bus Route 70 towards Ballard. Get off at the stop on Eastlake Ave E & Northlake Way. From the bus stop, walk east on Northlake Way for about 10 minutes until you reach the shore of Lake Union.

Another option is to take the Sounder Train from Kent Station to Seattle's King Street Station. Once you arrive at King Street, walk to the Pioneer Square Station and take the Link Light Rail towards Northgate. Get off at the University of Washington Station, then transfer to Bus Route 70 towards Ballard. Alight at Eastlake Ave E & Northlake Way and walk east towards the lake.
