If you are in central Kent, head to the nearest bus stop. Take the Sound Transit bus route 586 towards Seattle. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the Seattle/Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. From there, purchase a ferry ticket to Bainbridge Island. The ferry ride will take about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Bainbridge Island, exit the ferry and walk straight towards Madison Ave N. Sakai Park is located a short 15-minute walk along Madison Ave N.
Walking
If you are close to downtown Kent, you may also opt for a long scenic walk to the ferry terminal. Start your walk towards the Kent Station area, continuing towards the Green River Trail. Follow the trail north until you reach the Seattle/Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. This will take about 1.5 to 2 hours of walking. Once at the ferry terminal, take the ferry to Bainbridge Island, and upon arrival, walk about 15 minutes to reach Sakai Park.
