Getting There

• Bus

  If you are in Lynnwood, start by making your way to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the Community Transit bus route 115 towards Seattle. Board the bus and stay on for about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 'Capitol Hill' stop, which is near the intersection of E John St and 15th Ave E. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Volunteer Park. Head south on 15th Ave E, and the park will be on your left at 1247 15th Ave E.

• Light Rail

  To reach Volunteer Park using the light rail, take the Sound Transit Link Light Rail from Lynnwood Transit Center towards Angle Lake. Transfer at Westlake Station to the light rail heading towards Northgate. Get off at the Capitol Hill Station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the park. Exit the station and head east on E John St, then turn right onto 15th Ave E. The park will be on your left at 1247 15th Ave E.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Lynnwood area and prefer to walk, you can find your way to Volunteer Park by heading south on 15th Ave from the Lynnwood area. Be prepared for a longer walk, as it’s approximately 7 miles to the park. Follow 15th Ave all the way down until you reach the park, which will be located on your left at 1247 15th Ave E. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!

• Bicycle

  For those who want to bike to Volunteer Park, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Lynnwood. Head south on 15th Ave, following the bike lanes. The ride will take roughly 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Capitol Hill, keep an eye out for signs for Volunteer Park, which is located at 1247 15th Ave E. Secure your bike at the bike racks available at the park entrance.
