Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start by navigating to Granite Falls, WA. From US-2, take the exit toward WA-204 E. Continue on WA-204 E, then merge onto WA-92 N. Follow WA-92 N until it merges with WA-9 N, and continue on WA-9 N. In Granite Falls, follow the signs to Mount Pilchuck State Park by turning onto Mountain Loop Highway (also known as NF-42). Continue on this road, and look for the park entrance on your right. There may be a parking fee at the entrance, so be prepared with cash or a credit card.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, you can take a bus from Seattle to Granite Falls. Start by boarding the Sound Transit bus or Community Transit bus that connects to Everett. From Everett, transfer to Community Transit Route 270 or 271 to reach Granite Falls. Once you arrive in Granite Falls, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to take you to Mount Pilchuck State Park, as public transport does not go directly to the park. Be aware of the time schedule for buses, as they may not run frequently.

• Hiking/Walking

  If you're already within Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and wish to hike or walk to Mount Pilchuck State Park, locate the nearest trailhead that leads to the Mount Pilchuck trail. The most common trailhead is at the Mount Pilchuck State Park parking area, which is accessible by car. From the parking area, you can hike the well-marked trails that lead into the park. Ensure you're equipped with a map, sufficient water, and appropriate gear for the hike, as it can be challenging.
