If you are driving, start from any location in The Blue Mountains and find your way to US-2 W. Continue on US-2 W until you reach the junction with WA-204 W. Take the exit toward WA-204 W. Continue on WA-204 W for about 7 miles until you reach the junction with I-5 N. Merge onto I-5 N and follow it for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 194 for WA-92 toward Lake Stevens. Merge onto WA-92 W and continue for about 10 miles. Then, take the exit onto WA-204 W toward Granite Falls. Follow the signs for Granite Falls and continue until you reach Heather Lake Trailhead, located at Heather Lake Trail, Granite Falls, WA 98252. There is no fee for parking at the trailhead.
Public Transportation
To reach Heather Lake via public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus or a local transit service to Everett, WA. From Everett, transfer to Community Transit Route 201, which will take you to Granite Falls. After arriving in Granite Falls, you may need to use a ridesharing service like Uber or Lyft, or inquire locally for taxi services, as public transport does not directly serve the trailhead. The cost for the Greyhound bus will vary based on your starting point, and the Community Transit fare is approximately $2.00. Rideshare costs will depend on the distance from the Granite Falls stop to the Heather Lake Trailhead.
