Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Myrtle Falls, first enter Mount Rainier National Park through the Nisqually Entrance. From the entrance, follow the main road (WA-706 E) for approximately 12 miles until you reach the Paradise area. At Paradise, you will find parking available in the designated lots. Note that during peak season, parking can fill up quickly, so arrive early to secure a spot. Once parked, follow the signs to the Myrtle Falls Trailhead. The trail to Myrtle Falls is a short, well-maintained path that is about 0.5 miles round trip. The trailhead is located near the Paradise Visitor Center.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, the most common option is to use a shuttle service that operates from Ashford to the Paradise area during the summer months. Check local schedules for the exact times and availability. Once you arrive at the Paradise area, you can walk to the Myrtle Falls Trailhead by following the signs. The trail is accessible and provides beautiful views along the way, making it an enjoyable experience.

• Hiking

  If you are already in the Paradise area and wish to hike, start from the Paradise Visitor Center. Look for the Myrtle Falls Trail, which begins near the visitor center. The hike is relatively easy and well-marked, taking approximately 20 minutes to reach the falls. The trail is approximately 0.5 miles one way, offering stunning views of Mount Rainier and the surrounding landscape as you approach Myrtle Falls.
