Car
If you are traveling by car, head to Mount Rainier National Park. The nearest major access point is the Nisqually Entrance, located off Highway 706. Upon entering the park, follow the signs for Paradise Road (also known as Mount Rainier's main road) and continue for about 14 miles. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Mt. Fremont Fire Lookout trailhead. The parking area is at the trailhead, which is located near the end of the road at Sunrise Visitor Center.

If you are using public transportation, you will need to take a bus to Ashford, WA. From there, you can take a local shuttle or taxi service to the Sunrise Visitor Center. Once you arrive at the Sunrise Visitor Center, follow the trail signs to the Mt. Fremont Fire Lookout. This hike is approximately 5.6 miles one way and is well marked. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as service may be limited, especially in off-peak seasons.
