Car
If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the North Cascades National Park area. From Seattle, take I-5 North towards Everett. Merge onto WA-20 East (North Cascades Highway) at exit 230. Continue on WA-20 East for approximately 70 miles. Look for signs directing you to Cascade Pass Trailhead. At mile marker 16.5, turn left onto Cascade River Road. Follow Cascade River Road for about 23 miles until you reach the trailhead parking area. Please note that a National Park Pass is required for parking, which costs $30 for a week-long pass.
Public Transportation + Car
If you prefer public transportation, take a Greyhound or Amtrak bus from Seattle to the town of Marblemount. Once you arrive in Marblemount, you will need to rent a car or arrange for a taxi service to take you to the Cascade Pass Trailhead. From Marblemount, head south on State Route 20 for around 11 miles until you reach the Cascade River Road, then follow the road for about 23 miles to the trailhead parking area. Be sure to check bus schedules in advance and plan for potential rental car costs.
