If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to Deming, Washington. From Interstate 5, take Exit 255 for WA-542 E towards Mt. Baker. Follow WA-542 E for approximately 18 miles until you reach the junction with Mt Baker Hwy. Turn left onto Mt Baker Hwy and continue for about 7 miles. The Horseshoe Bend Trail Head will be on your right side. There is a small parking area available for visitors.

For those using public transportation, your first step is to take a Greyhound or Amtrak bus to Bellingham, Washington. From Bellingham, you can transfer to the Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) bus service. You will need to take Bus 51 towards Mt. Baker. This bus operates only on weekends and holidays during the summer months, so check the schedule in advance. The bus will take you along Mt Baker Hwy. Get off at the stop nearest to Horseshoe Bend Trail Head. From there, be prepared for a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) to reach the trail head itself.
