Car
From Seattle, take I-5 North towards Bellingham. Continue on I-5 until you reach Exit 255 for WA-542 East towards Mount Baker. Follow WA-542 for approximately 30 miles. As you approach the Mount Baker area, turn left onto Forest Road 3065 (Glacier Creek Road). Follow this road for about 6 miles until you reach the Skyline Divide Trailhead parking area. Note that this road may require a vehicle with good clearance; a 4WD or SUV is recommended.
Public Transportation + Car
Take a Greyhound or Amtrak bus to Bellingham. From the Bellingham station, you can use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or rent a car to reach the Skyline Divide Trailhead. If you choose to rent a car, follow the directions from Bellingham provided in the car guidance above. This option may incur costs for the bus fare and car rental, so be sure to check the respective services for current prices.
Local Shuttle Services
Check for local shuttle services that operate in the Mount Baker area. Some shuttle providers offer transportation from nearby towns directly to popular trailheads, including Skyline Divide. This may be a convenient option if you do not wish to drive. Ensure you book your shuttle in advance and inquire about prices as they can vary.
