Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving to Volunteer Park from downtown Seattle, head east on Pike Street and then take a left onto 15th Avenue. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles. You will pass through the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The park will be on your right at 1247 15th Ave E. There is street parking available, but it can be limited, so be prepared to look for a spot.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Volunteer Park by public transportation, take the Link Light Rail from any downtown station towards University of Washington. Get off at the Capitol Hill Station. From there, you can either walk about 15 minutes towards the park or take bus number 10, 11, or 49 heading towards the park. If walking, head northwest on E John St, then turn left on 15th Avenue E. The park will be on your left.

  • Car

    If you are coming from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, take I-5 North towards Seattle. Exit onto I-90 East and then take the exit for Rainier Avenue South. Follow Rainier Avenue to E John St and turn left. Continue onto 15th Avenue E, and Volunteer Park will be on your right at 1247 15th Ave E.

  • Public Transportation

    From Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, take the Sound Transit Link Light Rail towards University of Washington. Transfer at Westlake Station to Bus 10 or 11. Get off at the stop at 15th Ave E and E Galer St. Walk north on 15th Avenue E for a couple of blocks, and you will reach Volunteer Park.
